Those of you living in a big, crowded city are used to seeing a grey, dull, often depressive sky when you look up. It seems that this was the driving force that led the French artist Thomas Lamadieu to take an initiative and take photos which he after converted to works of art. He created marvellous illustrations that make use of the space between the buildings and named his project:”Sky Art”. He first photographs buildings with inspired, stimulating architecture and then fills in the space between them with fanciful line drawings!

This had to be shared. In amongst my own work band research I do like it when I find other inspiring work that I feel a need to share. This is no exception.

A beautiful use of photography juxtaposed with quirky illustrative drawings. The use of space Lamadieu has childlike doodle quality, i get the feeling of him lying on the ground and drawing into the spaces with his imagination. Beautiful work, and a really good find to the blogger this is from.
